Wrist Ligament Injury

Wrist Ligament Injury—commonly known as a sprained wrist—occurs when the ligaments that hold together the small bones of the wrist are stretched or torn due to a twist or fall onto the hand. Yoga and the martial arts, as well as baseball, basketball and football are sports in which wrist ligament injuries occur.

Pain, swelling, weakness, impaired movement and a clicking sound are all possible symptoms of Wrist Ligament Injury, which is normally treated by splinting in mild cases and arthroscopically assisted surgery in severe cases.
