Bennett's Fracture

Bennett’s Fracture involves the breaking and dislocation or subluxation of the metacarpal bone at the joint located at the base of the thumb.

Common to contact sports like football or boxing, Bennett’s Fractures are treated by putting the bones back into place and holding them with a splint or cast or through a surgical intervention that involves reassembly of the pieces of the joint to minimize the possibility of arthritis.
